The Mizbeiach - View From the West

This picture shows the Mizbeiach from the western side. Note the small kevesh (ramp) used by the Kohanim to descend from the Sovev and walk to the Yesod (foundation) of the Mizbeiach. To the right of the small ramp is one of the two tables which stood on the western side of the Kevesh.

On the Left (north) side are the twenty four rings used for slaughtering the Korbanos. (See the end of Maseches Sotah.)
